Membership Requirements

The members of Sigma Xi Sigma Sorority, Inc are committed to helping each Sistor to reach their full potential in their personal and professional lives.

We are interested in our prospective members at their core.

We are here to make a difference in our local and national communities through hard work and perseverance.

We understand and live by the saying "In order to have a Sister you must first be a Sister".

Prospective Members Must:

A woman 30 years of age or older
Holding a high school diploma or its equivalent
Must not be an active member of another Greek lettered organization
Be an active registered voter
Dedicated to changing our local and national communities
Have high moral and ethical values
Must be able to meet the financial obligations of Sigma Xi Sigma Sorority, Inc
Must Successfully complete the pre - pledge process
Must successfully complete the Sorority's official Membership Intake Process

First Roots Planted:

Every organization has a beginning.

Sigma Xi Sigma Sorority, Inc. honors its First Roots Planted—the first five women initiated following the Founder. This permanent distinction recognizes those who believed in Sigma's mission during its earliest season and helped establish the roots from which our sisterhood continues to grow.

Once the fifth member has been initiated, this historic distinction will be permanently retired.
